Am I being ripped off or is this reasonable? Ford Escort water pump?

I called a mechanic and asked how much for a water pump for a Ford Escort and he tells me £40 for the pump and I looked on the Internet and its about that.

And said it would take him 3 to 4 hours at £40 per hour.

price always depend on the shop and easy to call three places to get a ideal of what they all charge easy to call parts store and get a price to do it yourself
