My husbands friend is having a stag weekend in Dublin, its costing around £250 for the travel and hotel alone, he then wants to take £200 for spending money. He does not work and I work part time, I am also trying to get my internet business off the ground. We have a year old child, so money is always tight. I am waiting for a bonus to come through from work, he asked if he can have some of it, his dad is giving him about £150 if he does some work for him. We do struggle with money, I only buy what we need but it soon all mounts up. I have asked for more hours at work, but was told there is none and there may soon be lay offs! Hubby has tried to get work but to no avail. He told me 2 days ago he wasnt going to go as we couldnt afford it. He went to his mates last night and has come back saying he is going and that he will try to get extra work from his dad. Now I have to book off that weekend to make sure I am here for our son, I rely on him anyway to get to work as we live in the countryside and I do not drive. I just feel so annoyed, when he said that he wasnt going away I suggested we use some of my bonus to go away for a nice day instead, maybe stay overnight somewhere. Now he says we can do both, but we cant afford it! Tried telling him that but falls on deaf ears. I really feel that im cracking up. I work, I am sorting my business, I tidy the house, I make dinner, deal with our son. He does very little but lie in bed until midday-1pm. Ive told him until im blue in the face that I need help but it starts a row or things are ok for a few days then back to normal.
