I bought this charger, it puts out 1amp/hour and it stops charging when it reaches 12v.

It can hear it kickign on and off every couple seconds as it charges, then stops, then charges, then stops. I know its doing this because its reaching 12v, stoping then charging when its below, but shoudlnt it take longer thna a couple seconds to kick on and off?

One thing that may be effecting it is i have a circuit wired driectly to the battery, when operating as is currently, one single LED is lit to signify that circuit has power. I that enough to make it kick on every second or so?
actually its 1.5 amp, this is the charger i have

its totally pimp cause i got it right under my seat and an extention cord now plugs right into my bike so i can use ti to jump start it with an ac outlet, i dont wanna get rid of ti cause its so cool.

hi.. that charger is actually a battery maintainer..and not really a charger.. well, its a slow charger. perfect to use it when the bike is parked for days.. and no its not hurting the battery.. but if the battery itself is dying,, no amount of charging/manitaining, can prolong it.
