Hey, I am posting this cause I need some advice. I am in my 3rd year at uni and have major finals coming up. I have been revising but I really cannot afford to get sick in any way, shape or form. Recently I have worried about not doing so well in my exam that I got that butterflies in your tummy feeling. That stayed with me for a while which then made me worry even more that I was gonna throw up and for the last few days all I keep worrying about is whether or not I will throw up. Its so bad and really stupid I know but what I am asking is, this 'nausea' that I feel is it because of my mind? If I keep thinking like this will I make myself ill? I am feeling queasy just now but again feel that because I'm worrying its due to that. I haven't vomited in 9-10 years and I. Know your body only does this as a defence mechanism or due to your fight or flight response. The only times I ever get nauseous or sick are if there's a virus (there's none about at present and I usually catch them off people) or before my period (its late but I have had feelings that its coming, am not pregnant cause I haven"t had a guy in my life since last Nov and we didn't have sex but I did take the pill for 2 weeks and stopped midpack and got what looked like a period). Also I get carsick but I'm in my house so its not that. Plus my mum made my dinner and I took my time and it was cooked and that was 7 hours ago. Sorry for the essay but I just need peace of mind. I personally think its exam stress. I will award the best answer with lots of points! It's 3am now and all I want is for this to go away so I can sleep! :) x
