Amare Stoudemire loves the headlines, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that he’s going to make a splash when returning to the New York Knicks. First, there were rumors that the power forward would be happy coming off the bench.
Now, there’s talk that Stoudemore wants to return on Christmas Day. On Dec. 25, the Knicks take on the Los Angeles Lakers on national television. If Stoudemire has his way, it’ll also double has his debut for the 2012-13 season.
Stoudemire has missed every game so far this season due to surgery on his left knee. However, he has been running and shooting a basketball lately, so it’s expected he’ll be able to return at some point within the next six weeks.
