Americans: Brainwashed Zionists or just Simple-minded Fools?

It should be no surprise that in the current Israeli onslaught of Palestinians in Gaza, the American media is taking an avowedly pro-Israel stance. But I have noticed that many- perhaps most- Americans are themselves taking this position. While most Europeans- who are better educated on world events by far- take a more objective stance, Americans tend to have this "Israel can do no wrong" mentality. Do you feel that this is due to the media's brainwashing or simply because corn-fed Americans are about as smart and sophisticated as their corn-fed cows? Insults from gung-ho American Joes are welcome, as this simply proves the point.
Zorak: I have been watching, and CNN is going out of its way to make the Israeli offensive appear justified. It is also showing as much damage in Israel as possible to make it appear that there is some degree or proportionality. I won't even talk about Fox News.
Biggie: One of the dumber answers I have encountered, and indeed, it helps prove my point. How are the corn dogs?
 
American media taking a pro-Israel stance? You must not be watching CNN or MSNBC. They are very much Pro terrorist-Pro Hamas, just like you.

Oh, we're not brainwashed, nor simple-minded. We simply (haha) have a long history of free thought, even though our more simple-minded brethren can be persuaded towards your propaganda.

Rest assured my friend, we don't all fall for your non-American "charm." Don't worry, there aren't many of us that even know the names of the great Freedom thinkers from our own country, much less those that inspired them.

But there are still a few of us out here, working to sh!t on socialism and government-speak when we see it!

Americans react to the information they're given, just like any other Nation. But in my experience I've found them to be law abiding folk and this brutal killings will not be of their liking. I mean, they voted for Obama, I haven't seen a Pakistani PM in the UK or an Algerian President in France or a Turkish Chancellor in Germany. Americans are the first western country who a elect member of a minority as President based on merit, and you have to give them credit for that.

I also noticed that the American stance on this is a lot more extreme than even Jews. All my Jewish and Muslim friends agree there is wrongs on both sides and Israel should stop (we're Canadian). There are a lot of Americans here who don't support Israel blindly, though. I think they all just went to sleep. I hope you know you will only get insults.

Actually I believe that most of Europe has a problem known as political correctness and think too highly of the UN, which is biased against Israel and ignores human rights abuses among most member nations. Tell me that this is not the sign of a broken institution

I mean you should have seen the results of backing Israel in the U.S. Congress recently.

Let's just say US congress votes to back Israel

The sad part:
390 votes say yay
22 members of the House who voted "present" with neither yay or nay
5 brave American heroes who said nay to that resolution

I think the U.S. is hijacked by Israel, pro israeli interests, AIPAC, jdl etc

Americans have to stand up and get the country back.

Congress & the President give a view of America to the world, and this view is not accepted world wide, we need a REAL CHANGE. People need to write to their representatives and make them wake up.
