Android gingerbread download help?

Hi, I got the system update for android today and I had my phone charging when I got it, and after it was fully installed, there were no visable changes or anything and everything is just the same. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing any simular problems and/ or knew how to fix it?

The system update was not gingerbread. Gingerbread updates will not roll out for another two weeks. You probably got an incremental upgrade.
