I've been trying to figure out this anime movie i saw a few years back about Japan trying to get people into outer-space but the technology isnt up to par yet, the ships are made out of wood and tar and steel and most blow up trying to leave orbit. Imagine If NASA was trying to get astronauts on the moon in 1910's instead of the 50's and 60's. the only other thing i remember is the DVD disc art had an astronaut looking down on earth looking out a window of the rocket with his hand up to the glass you could also see the astronauts helmet in the reflection. If you have any idea what movie I could be talking about pleas help me out!
