Animes with sad endings?

I love animes with sad endings for some odd reason.
Can anyone recommend some with a good story line but a sad/tragic ending.
My favorite genre is probably Supernatural.
If it helps Code Geass, Death Note and Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) are animes that I would say have a sad ending in my opinion.


Please don't recommend : Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler), Code Geass, Death Note, Elfen Lied, Soul Eater, Vampire Knight, Pandora Hearts, Loveless, Ouran High School Host Club, Shugo Chara or Fruits Basket as I have watched these.

Kuroshitsuji is the best isnt it?
Um strike witches as a sad buildup. Ending is okay ish.
 
You want to try Desert Punk? It's actually action/comedy at the start but then at the end it starts to take on a more serious tone so maybe you wanna check it out. :D I love episodes 20 and 24 (last episode) :D
 
The saddest thing I've probably seen is a movie called 5 centimeters per second. It's a romance but, it's a must see.

Also, Fullmetal Alchemist has semi happy ending but, it's made me cry a couple of times. XD
