I have a 2006 Ford F250 and Im on my second transmission. I do tow a lot but i am an experienced driver and don't beat on my trucks. My second transmission wont shift into the last 2 gears which usually happens on the highway. I tried with and without big loads. Still the tranny wont go into the higher gears. Im about done with this Ford crap.

Well there is obviously something wrong in that picture. If the same thing that happened to the first tranny is the exact same as with the second one, then there is either a problem with who your getting the tranny from in the first place. We need to know is it, a stick, auto, whats the weight that you are towing, is it a re-man or just a used one from a yard. If its a re-man then there is something wrong with the people that are rebuilding it, and if its from a yard i would consider taking it to a REAL re-man shop so you can evaluate what is going on with it, they might be able to tell you why its doing that, maybe you need to put a more power full tranny in it. Try researching more power full trannys to slide in.

Hi
Just a helpful hint , always put on an external transmission cooler. My 1985 has has about 4hundred thousand miles on it and three engine replacements.
