She was spayed this morning, which all went okay.
They had to put a collar on her cause she kept licking her wounds (which most cats do afterwards) but as soon as we got her home & out of her cage (which is too small now) she went mental & charged around the house banging/crashing into everything until she eventually calmed down for an hour then she started again, she was so distressed & couldn't stop crying & shaking & she broke my Mum's 2 ornaments so we thought for her own safety to take the collar off - which worked, she settled down instantly & now is content, purring away.
Problem is she has little licks & nips at her stitches, so we're a bit worried. We cannot possibly put the collar back on, unless we want her to injure herself or have a heart attack (she was badly panting afterwards).
Any other tips or should we just keep a close eye on her? Or ask our vet?
