I've also noticed that they're becoming SLIGHTLY unresponsive (I have to dip the brake about an inch to get a reaction) I've been advised to replace my brake fluid but I don't see how this is going to stop the squeaking which is relentless and occurs every time the brakes are touched and doesn't stop until they're released.
