I see a great price for a phone I have been researching at my local Wal-Mart, but the associate there says it will take 45 minutes to extend my service since I'm not in Wal-Mart's database, and they don't have direct access to Verizon's database. Since I don't know how well Wal-Mart's employees are trained in this area, including customer privacy, and protecting personal information, I'm hesitant to go through this. The associate I spoke to assures me these are new, never used, Verizon phones. What is the process to extend service there? How safe is personal data? Will anyone else at Wal-Mart have access?? Has anyone had any problems with this? thanks -
