I'm a recent graduate who studied food and culture in graduate school, and I have a big interest in it. Recently I thought about working in restaurants in Japan. Nothing fancy, something like a noodle shop to see how the culture eats- kind of like ethnographic research. Has anyone ever worked in a Japanese restaurant before? How does one get the job?
