I have been denied acceptance to the university of south florida.
I have a 3.5 GPA and people with a lower GPA than me at my school got accepted. ridiculous.
My sat's where higher than theirs too!
Anywho, I cannot accept this. I want to get into this school.. How can I start off my letter? Such as an attention grabber? There is a 10% chance I will get in with an appeal.
This is the promt.
"The letter of appeal must be written by the applicant requesting reconsideration, and include any information regarding extenuating circumstances that may have contributed to previous academic difficulty, declining grade trend, or low standardized test scores."
I did have two jobs to help my mother out because of economical issues.. this prevented me from studying for my SATs enough ( I did improve 100 points, but that wasn't enough)
I haven't had a father figure ever, and I came from another country.
Please help me out..
