Approaching women at a club/lounge?

Ok ladies, how do you like to be approached at a club or lounge? And who are you more likely to talk to, the meat-head? the jersey shore wanna-be? the average guy? the hottest guy? etc...
 
The down to earth guy. Open with a compliment. Introduce yourself, ask for her name, ask to buy her a drink, ask if she's single, then why is she is or compliment the guy for being so lucky. The conversation will roll on its own from there is she wants it to.
