Approximately how long will BlueRay/HDTV set the standard?

Is it expected that BlueRay/HDTV will remain the standard for a few years or are these going to be quickly out dated?

Hollywood and many of the developers lost millions of dollars with this format war. I don't think anyone wants to repeat it. The next format change will be by consensus of all the studios and will be decided before any player are released.

The developers will pitch the next formats and the All of the studios will simply come to a conclusion which format to back. As is the blu ray has lots of potential as far as space, even higher defintions and features. so we are looking at at least 10 to 15 years with this format. Unless some one invents Holovision. lol
