Apps Keep Crashing on iPhone 3G?

Ever since about 2 weeks ago, a lot of my apps are crashing and won't load. I have been trying over and over to play them, but they keep crashing and won't load. I've had my iPhone 3G for about 2 years, maybe a little more. It's been jailbroken quite a few times. What's wrong with my iPhone? Is it just getting old? Will a restore help? Why do the apps keep crashing?

most apps these days are configured to work with iOS 4. with the new 4.3 update, iPhone 3G is now unsupported (you can no longer update your phone). plus, iPhone 3G is pretty old, and some apps require faster processing speeds and/or more ram usage. iPhone 3G has a 620 MHz processor (in contrast with iPhone 4's 1 GHz processor) and only 128 MB of ram (in contrast with iPhone 4's 512 MB). theres not much you can do, you can try restoring it
