Apps like whatsapp for IOS and Android?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there were any other apps like whatsapp apart from viber and line, that are compatible with both ios and android... on android I have problems with line and sometimes I get notifications and some other times I don't and sometimes it gets stuck... wish I could fix this problem but I think it's easier to look for something similar. thanks a lot in advance
