Archiving dreams in real-time?

Greeting, I plan on doing a thirty day trial of recording my dreams. I plan on getting at least eight to ten hours of sleep a day. Additionally, I will be meditating thirty minutes to a hour a day. In the recordings I'll be going into details of the dreams, which the recording will be from five to ten minutes long.

What are some specific things I should record for each individual recording session during the trial period that would be of useful information such as diet for the day, alcohol involved, colors in the dream, feeling during the dream, feeling after waking up from the dream, sleep period, etc.. Even if I don't have a dream on a day, I plan to still do a recording summarizing basic information.

I've calculated that it would take about two hours a day of my time to do this, equating to about fourteen hours a week. Very time consuming, but I want to do it to archive my experiences for personal analysis and so others can analyze it.

Also, does anyone have any tips on inducing dreams? Sometimes when I catnap for fifteen to thirty minutes I have detailed dreams. Depending on how the trial works out, I might end up doing another thirty day trial consecutively.

Thanks for any useful information you have to share!
