Are 2004 Mazda's Dependable?

I have had 2 GM Trucks, 4 Pontiac Cars, 2 Ford Trucks and a Now Toyota Tundra almost up for Lease. I want a car this time and really love the look of Mazda 6's. I am always getting new vehicles and this time I want no loan payment and good on gas but still nice looking and dependable of course. I don't like many body styles of cars but seem to admire the Mazda 6s of all cars out there. I want affordable so I have no loan this time around and still with many years left. It looks like I can get a 2004 Mazda 6 under $10,000 but how long are mazda's dependable?
