Are boats generally named after the spouse or the child?

The name on a boat that made me grin a while back was "MT Pockets"
Hopefully, that wasn't the name of a spouse or child.

People tend to give their boats names that have a jingle or meaning like Berth Control or Oh Buoy. I've never seen one named after a child but a spouse, yes (Sea Witch, Sea Hag, etc). There are no written rules other than not to copy some others boat name.
