Are bootcut jeans still "in" style?

I've always worn boot cut jeans, but I need a new pair of darkwash jeans because my other dark ones are too short and faded. I've never had pair of skinnies... I have a pair of straight jeans though but they're more bootcut than skinny. What do you guys/girls think of girls wearing bootcut jeans?? does the wide bottom part look too...uh tacky to you or do you like them better than skinny jeans?!
 
I, personally, think bootcut jeans are fine, but I prefer skinny jeans. :)
 
It depends what type of shoes you wear with them. Bootcut jeans look really good with pretty much any type of boot. Skinny jeans look good with small shoes, like Toms, Sparry's, and flats. And straight jeans look good with just tennis shoes. Hope this helped! :)
