Are "Coachbuilders" and "Automotive Vehicle Body Builders" the same profession?
I am considering to start an apprenticeship as a coachbuilder here in New Zealand.
Coachbuilders are people who build buses and trucks and motorhomes from scratch.
But what really interests me is the actual body construction, and I want to build cars from scratch - custom cars, limos, hot rods, etc.
I noticed that the Australians have a qualification called "Automotive Vehicle Body Builders" - is that the same as a coachbuilder, or would those guys do something slightly different, and potentially exactly what I want to do?
I wouldn't mind moving to Australia for that if I have to.
