I learned from some Orthodox Jews that they won't accept anyone as the Messiah unless such individual fulfills EVERY SINGLE prophecy and all of them DURING HIS LIFETIME.
Not to offend the Jews, but do you actually believe ALL OF THESE THINGS will ever happen?:
-Everyone in the world accepting and worshipping God (the Hebrew god, that is) (Isaiah 11:9-10)
-All dead people resurrecting (Isaiah 26:19)
-Everyone asking the Jews for guidance (Zechariah 8:23)
-All the Jews knowing the Torah without even reading it (Jeremiah 31:33)
Do you think those prophecies were made up just to keep Jews on track? That way, if someone claimed to be the Messiah, Rabbis will say "Well, did you fulfill x and x prophecy? No? Bad luck schmuck."
Born of a Broken Man: The Messiah is supposed to be responsible for those things, not God.
