Are the Retro Geek Glasses that Chris Brown/Kid Cudi wear in the trend now?

It seems that all the Urban Music Acts like Chris Brown, Tinie Tempah and Kid Cudi are wearing these type of retro clear lens glasses. A lot others are too. Are they fashionable to wear now? Will I be normal if I wear them? Thanks
 
Yeah, loads of people are wearing them because you get them free when you go and see a 3D movie, all you do is that the glasses home and pop out the lenses :)
 
No dude, it's fine to wear them, but no real 3D. That's fucking retarded
