Are the seeds in bell peppers poisonous? :/?

i know this is a silly question but i cant get it off my mind! :/
someone i know severed the bell pepper seeds in her curry and after her guests ate it most of the people got sick.was it the seeds or is she a bad cook? :P
i seached on google and some people said they are poisonous, some people said they are just bitter..........so whats the answer?

she must be just a bad cook i never use the seeds as it just makes it bitter

If they were poisonous, you would think they would sell those things with a warning label.
No, they're not poisonous , most people just don't cook with them because they taste bitter
She probably used some other ingredient that had gone bad, and it made people sick
 
They're not poisonous. Good Lord. If you cook them, they do taste bitter, and they make whatever you cooked the seeds with taste bitter as well.
 
Hey Lauren shhhhh.....Aoife, that someone you know is a bad cook. They are not poisonous, bitter maybe, I don't use them in cooking, but I do use them in the composter. I'm into that these days, the composter, it's amazing how much less is going out in the garbage on garbage night.
 
I hope not. I just ate a raw one for lunch!

But seriously, they're not poisonous. Lots of vitamins and nutrients in them.
