NOT require a data plan? just about anything is helpful my BF wants a touch screen with a keyboard but were no contract and cant afford 70$ for a data plan
duh...if it has a touchscreen, 9 times out of 10 its an android, if not a smartphone. any android or smartphone required a 30 dollar data plan with verizon. now, if you get lucky and do find that 1 in 10th phone that has a touch screen, it will almost DEFINENTLY not have a keyboard. so in short the answer to your questoin is no. besides verison is pretty expensive. if u cant afford a data plan, go with sprint or t mobile, both pretty good coverage and reasonably cheap.
Did you try looking at Verizon's site? You need to check the "feature phone" section - some of the phones don't require data plans. The only slide-out keyboard/touchscreen phine I saw was the Cosmos Touch. The problem is that not all touchscreen's are good - they can have a mind of their own and choose when they will and won't do what you want them to.
