I believe the O2 sensor in my elentra is shot. The upper cat converter was blocked to the point where it started to melt. This is likely cause for the upstream sensor to be bad. I want to be sure that it's the o2 sensor that is bad. The car lacks power in every way. No torque, absolutely terrible gas mileage, rpms limitted at 2500-3000 and it wont climb up any hills if it's life depended on it. Based on what I know from past experience, everything screams o2 sensor. I know on my neon turning the key on and off 3 times causes it to blink codes, is there a similar method to make this elantra blink me it's codes? If not, how likely is it that I'm right about the o2 sensor? I've replaced the cat converter with a brand new one by the way.
