personally i'm starting to. I live in a city of 28,000. We've had 10 car break-in, our neighbor's car got stolen. An arson on a house. An attemped armed rape. an armed robbery of a bank, a hit and run. and a list of other things all in a single week.

I never really paid attention to local news but to me this sounds crazy.
that's funny. The next thing i was planning to get was a gun but then i lost my job so now don't have the money. It would have been useful when someone stole my gps system out of my car...
earlier this week.

Worried, no. I'm a roll with the punches kind of guy. I'd like to actaully raise a family in a non-warzone with my fiance, but I'll deal with whatever the world throws at me. If things do rapidly degrade into civil unrest, though, natural selection will take hold. A lot of the stupid and weak will end up dying and we might be better for it. I still hope things don't get that bad, though.

I'm well armed, have enough ammunition for a civil war, combustible stored and explosives (legally acquired). I have a large family and we all are proficient at shooting and three of us have extensive military training.

I'm doing ok.

It is the beginning of whats to come. Higher crime is a direct result of unemployment. People will do anything necessary to survive.

I lived through two, three recessions before. I can handle one more recession. What I'm worried is the Obama generation. How can they cope with a life without super sweet sixteen parties? Romantic musketeers and poetry are not going to be any help.
