Astra 1.7 CDTI, revs jump quickly and then drop.....very slow increase

in speed when this happens ???!!!!? I have had a 1.7CDTI for about 4 months and when changing to fifth, the revs raise and then drop..........acceleration is also very slow when this happens. First noticed a couple of months ago and has been fine until last night. I also have the 'INSP' coming on the mileage display when starting the car. Any help??? good service??? get it on the computer at Vaux ?
