Regardless of any religious overtones, does the typical Atheist belief recognize the existence of the mortal man, Jesus Christ. Disregarding the Christian viewpoint, do Atheists believe the man existed, preached to a bunch of people, was arrested by the Romans, whipped, scourged and ultimately crucified?
REMEMBER: I am not asking if you think Jesus was a "deity" of any kind. Simply was he a man as portrayed in the Bible. Sort of Like, did Gahndi exist? Did Martin Luthor King exist, Did Hitler exist. I am not asking anything about their beliefs, simply do you believe the character existed in real life. If you believe then as an Atheist you have chosen not to believe in him as a deity but I do not want to portray him as a diety.
Just

Ok, Ok, so my familiarity as a Christian had me calling Jesus, son of Joseph, Jesus Christ. Forgive me, please. Did Jesus, son of Joseph, as described in the Bible ever exist?
