Processor: Imprint
Front Stage: DLS Ultimates. Running passively in kicks!
Amplifier (front stage) Memphis Belle powering 230 RMS to each component
Amplifier (substage) Old School Rockford Fosgate. Powers 300 RMS x 1 Channel
12" Subwoofer:

The purpose of this post/thread was to give you guys a enclosure parimeters, application, wattage, price, etc etc. So this is what we have to work with. If you guys could find the best subwoofer for my application, well that'd be awesome!

...alright so recomendations under these circumstances....

Price Range $ 200 or less.
Like to order either from woofersetc.com sonicelectronix.com madisound.com partsexpress.com
This will be going in either a sedan or hatchback
As listed this subwoofer will be getting a solid 300 RMS

...now onto the important part, my enclosure's volume is around 2.2 cubic feet. It's ported (circle port) I believe the port dimensions are ahh 4" wide 9" long.

I think that should definately slim options down.

Here are a few subwoofers I was looking at:

Boston Acoustics G2 or G3
Image Dynamics IDv.3
Peerless XLS
SI Mag
Dayton Titanic MK III

they all good sound quality subwoofers, for sq, don't ever ever port your box, otherwise will not have the good quality of sound. I really like the Rockford P3 woofer for sound, clean pure bass. But on your list I think any those woofers, be have batter sound quality then Rockford P3, that's just me. I am really into sound pressure not to much of SQ.

Audiophiles? I think that term and this kind of car audio are incompatible, at least as far as the term "audiophile" is used in contemporary parlance. I can't speaker for anything except the Dayton T MkIII as the others don't give T/S perimeters - or if they do I didn't find any on any of the sites I looked at. Quite frankly I didn't look too hard as such "unimportant details" are usually not published by car audio manufacturers. The Dayton will work, and with that port it will be + 7dB at 60 Hz and have an F3 of 40 Hz. A closed box will give you a flatter response with the same F3.
