audi a5 Problem?

my audi a5 that has 3000 miles on it now has a problem. when i was driving and two lights came on, a EPC light and another light that looks like an engine also the steering got really tight so i turned off the car and now it wont turn back on. they just took the car in.

Does anyone know what would be wrong with it and how long it takes to fix

yes alternator went out lost power now for new cars dishwashers whatever isnt uncommon to have faulty new part go bad
