I have been looking at buying a car for under 10k. I am a college student, I was looking at buying an a6 audi 2000 to 2003 and I have also looked into a mitsubishi eclipse spyder 2001 to 2003. The audi looks nicer on the inside and the spyder is a convertible will be fun in the summer time. I also do not know how much these cars will cost to maintain. Also if anyone has a suggestion into what kind of car is fun to drive and is not a leg and an arm to maintain please let me know.

Which car is better?

Audi is a very reliable vehicle. I would go with that. Not only does it have the power to make you giggle when you're getting on the freeway, but it is also a nice enough car that won't lose it's style in a year. The A6 is a good mid-grade audi with plenty of power and all the bells and whistles. Great choice. The eclipse is a very over-rated vehicle with a long history of transmission problems and high theft rates, which means insurance will kill you. Nothing will ever top high-class German engineering.

I LOVE MITSUBISHI ECLIPSES, but i hate convertibles... Is the mitsubishi eclipse a GT because if its not then dont but it. But if it is, you will have some pretty fast acceleration of about 0-60 in 5 seconds or so if youre good at shifting. But Audi Makes some very nice cars and the A6 is a sedan body which means you will probably get cheaper car insurance on it. I have an eclipse and I love it and on a erm private road or track or whatever i've gone nearly 160 on it. But again, Audi makes some nice cars and I would say that if you were buying the audi new it would be more expensive than the eclipse. One of these days when Im married and have a house that is paid off as well as about $150,000 extra im gunna buy an Audi R8 but until that day comes I guess ill stick with the eclipse. I dont know just a little bit of my rambing haha. I think both cars are very good and they both will serve you very well. Have fun driving your new car.
