Okay, so my boyfriend lives in Melbourne and lives about two hours away from the fires. He tells me it'll be fine, but I'm really worried. I haven't been able to sleep or stop crying since it started and I try to get my mind off it, but it's just getting so bad because it's EVERYWHERE on the news. I know that it's important but I'm just so scared because something could happen to him.
Do you know any way I could possibly keep my mind preoccupied? I've tried a lot of things but every time I talk to him or think about him, I just start breaking down all over again. Also, I have family who live in the same district as they're happening (in Pakenham) and I have no idea if they're okay or not. So you see, it just gets all that worse.
And another question, are the fires dying down? I know some asshole is relighting them, but are they as bad as they were? I'd rather Australians answer this, so I can get a better picture.
I live in New Zealand and apparently there's fires here starting too or something, but I'm more preoccupied with this.
