Hi, I am a aviation (comm pilot) student finishing my training in New Zealand. At our academy we have Japanese students that are sent from airlines in Japan and are basically given a job on there return. I know that in the "Japanese room" there are pictures of all these students who have left the academy 1-3 years ago and are now flying A320's, 737's and some are already on 747's.. barley 3 years out of training. For us domestic non-Japanese students we have to work out way up the ladder for a job like this, but these students get them straight out.. I have heard that they (most likely their parents) basically "buy" a job.. by paying the airline some $120+K and if you are excepted.. you are trained up, and given a job, but I don't know exactly how this works its all a bit hearsay... anyone know more about this type of training/job placement for airlines.. I would love to know more. Thanks. J
