I have a 1 year old Beagle dog. I was considering getting another dog from the pound, maybe Greyhound or Greyhound mix since there are currently nearly 10 Greyhounds and Greyhound mixes in the pound and that's where I got Mia. The reason I was considering doing this was because I work a regular 9am-5pm shift and when I get home, Mia has tipped the rubbish over, peed somewhere, broken something etc. Would getting another dog fix this? I have hired a behaviral trainer and we go there every Sunday and she has made slow progress so do you think this will help and will getting a Greyhound make things better, worse or will it stay the same? I definitely don't want another dog if it's going to be worse. I wouldn't get a puppy, either. I had Mia since she was 12 weeks old and it was hard work training her as Beagles have such a keen sence of smell and just want to go explore and wonder! Any suggestions or ideas? I think it would be a good idea to keep her company, too. Mia loves other dogs; my cousin has 2 dogs: a 7 year old Labrador and a 2 year old Siberian Husky mix and Mia gets SO excited when she sees them.
