Baseball pregame and trainings?

Does anybody explain to me for what are the baseball pregame shoes made?
I mean aren't the metal cleats enough to train and play?
Or should I buy a pair of pregame shoes only to train and warm-up beacuse thay got a specific reason?
Beacuse in other sports like soccer or football the shoes are always the same.

Alot of it is just superstition. I am a baseball player and I am very superstitious. Also, most baseball players do not want to wear down their metal spikes so they get pregame shoes. If you are not the type to go out and get pregame shoes just for the warmup, you can just warmup in your regular spikes or you can warmup in tennis shoes.
