What a prat. It's absurd enough that Ben Casnocha -- a 19-year-old self-proclaimed philosopher-entrepreneur -- thinks himself qualified to dispense advice on business to his elders in his new book. But this made me splutter. The latest group to benefit from the phony whizkid's wisdom: those poor souls with what the patronizing entrepreneur calls "short syndrome".'Big Ben' -- a 6'4" giant who weighs in at 210 lbs -- gloats that height "certainly can make the path to a leadership position a wee bit easier." (If by leadership position one means a titular role at a loss-making and unscalable business propped up by daddy's money.) And, then, the kicker. On his blog, writes the San Francisco wannabe mogul: "My advice to people who are "average" in outward physical appearance is to create some kind of distinction. Wear bow ties, for example."
My advice to self-promoting teenagers like Ben Casnocha, with decidedly average business achievements, is also to create some kind of distinction. And, in the meantime, stop dispensing patronizing advice. For example.
