</p> The most confident life-form on the planet, Nicklas Bendtner, was finally sent out on a season-long loan from Arsenal to Sunderland on transfer deadline day after months of trying to find him a permanent new home. And now, according to The Sun, he's saying that he has no plans to return to Arsenal once his loan is finished. Because they just didn't give him a chance to prove his god-like, face-melting brilliance. From The Sun:
"I will never go back to Arsenal. If I can have it my way, I will never play for them again. "After my car accident I never really got the chance to earn a spot in the first team. "That is over 1½ years with no real chance to prove myself. "I am really looking forward to playing for Sunderland and then we will see next summer. "I will find a new club — but I will not go back to Arsenal, that's for sure."
I haven't tried to reach Arsenal for comment on this, but I'm assuming their official response would be: "Promise?" It's like he's ignoring the fact that the club spent the entire transfer window trying to sell him and when they finally ship him off on a last-minute loan deal, he pulls the old "I'm fired?! Well you can't fire me because I quit!" routine. Hopefully Sunderland can better appreciate how awesome he knows he is. And give him the life-size cardboard cutout of himself that he's always wanted.
