I am looking to purchase a handheld receiver/radio that will help me while I am flying in my aircraft. My presently installed COM only has one frequency selection at a time. I would like to have a radio on handheld for backup use and for an additional use for other frequencies such as AWOS/ATIS so that I do not have to switch frequencies until instructed. I would like a unit that is not too expensive but has enough features to TUNE,TALK,RECEIVE. If you have any recommendations please list let me know as i need to get one ASAP for my checkride. Any help or suggestions are welcome!
