Best cheapest airline to travel from los angeles to texas?

Traveling through Continental Airlines from los angeles to harlingen tx next month thanksgiving week and I would like to know what airline is the most economical one as I am gonna pay $580 through Continental and I'm hoping I can still find one for less just don't know through what airline is cheaper? First time doing this on my own need advice thanks in advance!
 
Stick with Continental, I been using them sense 2001 and their Great.
Sense This is Your First time the cheaper it is the longer its ganna take to get to your destination. Because it stops city to city while heading to your location so may take like 5 hours depending how many stops it does. And The Fastest one is Striaght Flight but it cost maybe $800 around that so ask how long it may take.
 
Best and cheapest are rarely the same.

Why ask if you already know you're flying on Continental?
