Best Soccer Shoes for a Defender?

I am now in college and I need a new pair of cleats. However, I am not the flashy type of soccer player. I play hard defense and quick passing. What is the best type of soccer shoe for a guy like me?
Also, I tend to get alot of blisters in my feet. Any good non-blister shoes?

something Nike good solid , grip cleats... kick guards are always good
