as some of yall already know, im planing on getting a german shepherd and im wondering whats the best way to introduce my old dog to her. my old dog is timid of other dogs while the german shepherd is supposedly good with other dogs. i was thinking of keeping the german shepherd in another room and letting them smell each other through a gate until they feel comfortable around each other. would this be the best way?
shes usually fine with other dogs.. my brother brought his husky over and at first she was fine but then the husky got hyper and jumped on her causing my dog to walk away
