Two of my friends and I use internet from the same ISP. It's a wired broadband connection. Our IP adresses go like 192.168.12.66 , 192.168.12.29 and 192.168.12.156 . Please help me find the most efficient, easy-to-use and free means to share stuff over our lan.
Don't recommend the Windows Live folder sharing application since it just plain sucks. By the way, all of us got windows XP installed on our pcs.
Each of us live like 15 blocks away from one another incase that information is of any use to you.
I don't mind doing it over the internet as long as the file transfers get done at ethernet speed. I know this is possible since i have shared files with people using the same ISP as i am on LIMEWIRE. But i want to use something else thats more specialised. My internet is extremely slow like 20kBps, so its very annoying to send large files. Whereas my ethernet speed goes well over 500kBps.
