Best way to upgrade freebsd box?

I have a few freebsd boxes at home, one's running 4.10R and another 5.3. Want to upgrade them both to 6.0. What's easiest way to do this? thinking of going through CD-based upgrade of 4.10 system to 5.3 or 5.4, and then upgrading both via CD to 6.0 ISOs. Both are stock setups, no kernel customization. Both have a bunch of ports installed.Thanks,Michael
 
You can use sysinstall > upgrade option, to upgrade using ftp, http or cd-rom. It is not just easy but quite fast also. Always backup data before upgrading system.
