So I bought a new betta from a nice fish store (All the bettas were kept in nicely filtered tanks) and at I could see that he had a little bit of opaque fin at the ends of his red tail, but I bought him because I liked his craziness with the other fish near his tank.
So I took him home and it's very apparent that Dion probably has or had fin rot. Some of his fins look slightly tangled and chewed up, if you know what I mean, and I'm worried about the grey opaque ends of his tail fin, He's a veiltail, by the way.
I've heard that this is bad from some people, and others that this is good. I'm treating him with Melafix at the moment, but any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
