a) Maybe
b) Torrents can be slow, it really depends on how many people are seeding at a given time. Also, how fast their connections are. So, torrents can be very slow.
c) USB 1 are really slow. It seems the fastest I can make my old laptop transfer is 1 mb a second. However, with 50 MB that would be 50 seconds.

I'm trying to download a torrent right - my first ever, but so far it's taken 11 HOURS to download 50MB!! My Gnutella client does that in like 15min.

Is it because (a) my client's slow (BitTornado) (b) BitTorrent really is that slow, or (c) because I'm downloading directly to an external USB hard drive and I only have USB 1.0 ports on my PC?

best answer 10 points, and if they're all the same the first answer gets 10 points :-)

download from torrents depends on seeds of torrents and how many are seeding. it does not depends upon the torrent client.
