I am *not* a leecher, please. I keep my ratio 1.01, to be precise, because I have a slow connection. Anyway, here's what I need to know:
1. I know that private trackers - which you get at certain websites - keep a track of your ratio. How do they reward / punish you on the basis of this?
2. In the case of something like pub.tracker.thepiratebay.org or soemthing like that - a public tracker - is my share ratio kept track of? (I believe not.)
3. Where does a private tracker, say, get info about your ratio, because you can log on and off multiple times? Is there a software ID? Or from your IP?
4. And so, if it's from your IP, what if you're behind a NAT and your IP changes every time? How is your ratio kept track of?
Please, I need answers to these. Please try and not point me to links - please spell out things for me! I've been looking like hell and I'm a good googler, but I still can't find the anwers.
Thanks a LOT - I'll even repay you in kind if I can! Feel free to mail me!
